Çağla Çocuk's painting practice, developed between 2023 and 2026, brings personal mythology and psychological observation together in layered, narrative compositions. Eyes, spirals, thresholds, trees, snakes, centres and twin figures return across the archive in changing forms. Rather than building a closed vocabulary of symbols, these repetitions make visible how an image transforms from one work to the next. Most of the works are acrylic; symmetry, opening from the centre, the merging of body and architecture, and the figure turning towards a passage are recurring visual structures.
